FRIENDSHIP PARK
Friendship Park is open March-October

Friendship Park has 3 picnic shelters and are labeled as Shelter A, B and C. Shelter A is located near the bathrooms, has electrical outlets, picnic tables and 2 grills

Shelter B is located nearest the main parking lot and has picnic tables and 2 grills

Shelter C is located near US 52 and has picnic tables and 2 grills


RESERVATIONS:
Nile Township ONLY accepts reservations for Shelter A for Saturdays and Sundays. There is no costs to reserve the shelter but you must call the township office at 740-858-4777 to make said reservation.
Community Building Calendar
Shelters B and C are first come, first serve.

The park also has a baseball field, basketball court, tennis court which also has pickle ball lines, swings, merry-go-round and small playground. The park closes at 11 pm each night.


COMMUNITY CENTER
The Community Center is available to rent year round for Nile Township residents ONLY.

The center has a main room, full kitchen (stove/oven, refrigerator, ice maker and microwave), 2 bathrooms and an outside playground.

The cost to rent the building is $75.00 for 9 am to 9 pm

The cost to rent the community center for funeral dinners is $25.00 and must be paid in advance

The seating capacity is 125

There are nine 60" round tables for seating and six 8' rectangle tables for gifts, food, etc.

Rules are as follows:

Housekeeping rules:
  • NO taped/pinned/stapled or nailed decorations are permitted on walls, ceilings or ceiling fans
  • NO confetti or glitter
  • Tables are to remain in their assigned location and not moved


Prohibited events
  • Bazaars, rummage sales, any activity involving sales, public dances, live bands, partisan political activity or campaign activity, gambling or fundraising, of any kind


Prohibited activities:
  • Smoking, vaping, alcoholic beverages, pets/animals, inflatables, open flames, firearms/weapons


Cleaning instructions
(all cleaning supplies and trash bags under kitchen sink):

*RENTER MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO LEAVING THE COMMUNITY BUILDING*

  • Hang chairs up and return tables to original places
  • Clean all tables, counters, microwave, stove top, high chairs, used dishes, coffee pot
  • Remove all items from the refrigerator and freezer
  • Check bathrooms for cleanliness (sinks, toilets and empty trash)
  • Empty all trash cans & replace bags including kitchen & bathrooms
  • Sweep and mop floors including kitchen & bathrooms
  • Vacuum rugs


TOWNSHIP SIGN IS AVAILABLE FOR RENT FOR $10 PER DAY FOR BIRTHDAYS, BABY SHOWER, GRADUATIONS, ETC.

When you have an emergency, please turn your porch light on to help us better locate your residence.
